Domain redirection???

  Hi all,
  I’d like to set up a redirection from my Premium domain gartenbijoux.org to http://www.gartenbijoux.ch. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the Site redirect option as described here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/

  Which steps need to be made? Maybe I have just overlooked something ????

  Hi gartenbijoux, are you logged in with the admin account that created the blog? You need to be logged in as the owner to access Store options (in this case, Dashboard > Store > Site Redirect). If that’s the case, log in with your admin account and let us know if you have further problems purchasing the upgrade.

  If you are logged in with the only account and still aren’t seeing the Store options, could you tell us what you do see?

  thank you for the quick reply…

  Yes, I am logged in with the admin account, but when I click on “store” I don’t find any “Site redirect” option.

  All I see is “Store”, “Premium-Themes”, “Domains”, “My Upgrades” and “Billing?” (translated from German)

  gartenbijoux.ch. is not a WordPress.COM site

  gartenbijoux.org – is a custom domain mapped to gartenbijoux.wordpress.com.

  You don’t want Domain Redirect for gartenbijoux.org – you need to have your host for gartenbijoux.ch. set the site up to allow gartenbijoux.org to be mapped to gartenbijoux.ch. with gartenbijoux.ch. as the Primary Address

  Then you change the name servers for gartenbijoux.org to point to your new host – then wait 24 to 72 hours for changes to migrate to the far corners of the internet

  How long have you had gartenbijoux.org – mapped to gartenbijoux.wordpress.com?

  Hi auxclass,

  ok, I understand. So the steps that need to be made in my WordPress.com backend is only setting up the 2 nameservers of my hosting company?

  Everything else has to be done in the admin area of gartenbijoux.ch?

  Correct so far??

  I don’t know actually how long I’ve had it mapped to gartenbijoux.wordpress.com since that was made by somebody else.

  The support of my hosting company told me that I have to set up an A entry for a redirection and they sent me this:

  gartenbijoux.org. A 80.74.152.191 or
  A 80.74.152.191

  But it doesn’t work, I always get an error message. What am I doing wrong?

  Howdy,

  I’ve made the change for you, though it can take several hours for it to be effective Internet-wide.

  Since it has been setup initially, you can make changes via the “Make Changes to DNS” option in the dropdown menu at the bottom of https://gartenbijoux.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
