Domain redirects to deleted WordPress blog
-
My domain (purchased on godaddy) currently is pointing to the wrong/deleted wordpress blog. In my old wordpress “marketmatchmedia.wordpress.com” I used store>my domains to map my new domain “digitalbrew.co” to this blog. I wasn’t able to do much with this wordpress (have no idea why i wasn’t able to upload a theme) so I decided to go through Dream host to set up a page.
I did a 1-click install of wordpress through Dreamhost. That new wordpress was working great and I was in the middle of setting up the new pages when the URL decided to ONLY link to “marketmatchmedia.wordpress.com”. Now I can’t log in to the new page and I deleted the old one so I can’t access that dashboard either. Is there any way to delete the domain mapping to the old site?
Sorry if this isn’t clear. It’s hard to explain and this whole process has been VERY confusing.

On WordPress.com, we can use any of the 250+ themes found in our Dashboards, but cannot upload 3rd party themes.
As far as unlinking the WordPress.com site in the domain dashboard now that you’ve deleted the WPcom site means you’ll need some Staff assistance so I’ve marked this for their attention.
They have a ripe backlog right now, so please subscribe to this thread if you haven’t so you’ll see their response and please be patient and don’t “bump” this thread which pushes it further down in the queue.

I see you also contacted us privately about the issue. I just replied to your private thread. It seems we won’t be able to do much for you here, since you registered the domain with a third-party domain registrar, GoDaddy. You’ll need to change your domain name servers on GoDaddy’s website if you would like your domain to point to another hosting provider. You can follow the instructions here to do so:
