domain registered in godaddy – how do I develop it in WordPress
-
I registered my domain in godaddy. I want to develop it with WordPress. What do I need to do?
-
Do you want to register a wordpress.COm blog URL and then domain map to your domain URL that you purchased from Godaddy?
Or do you want to hire a web host and set up a wordpress.ORG software install?
Here we provide support only for sites hosted by wordpress.COM and though domain name transfers are not accepted mapping an existing domain is possible after you register a .wordpress.com blog URL to map to the domain from. If that is what you want to do see here http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
If you want to hire a web host and set up a wordpress.ORG software install go to https://wordpress.org/hosting/
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you are referring to a wordpress.ORG software install on paid hosting, and if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
Resetting your WordPress.ORG password http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
