  Only registered the domain last night with fasthosts and have emails etc set up

  Are you trying to map a domain to a WordPress.com site?

  Just to confirm — are you looking to create and host a site on WordPress.com, and point the domain here? Or were you planning to install WordPress.org software on another host (like fasthosts)?
