Domain registered with WordPress down for over 2 days…
-
I have already submitted this as a private question, but seeing as I have received no respond I’m escalating this to a public question.
My domain is currently registered with WordPress and hosted on GoDaddy. Since early Sunday (it is now Tuesday afternoon) my WordPress registered domain has been entirely unavailable. I am at my wit’s end as there is absolutely NOTHING I can do about this problem until someone at WordPress graces me with a response.
In the Domain Dashboard I am informed that my “[…] zone file is temporarily unavailable. If this problem continues, please contact customer support,” and when I enter the DNS Manager my domain (notwhenbutif.com) is not even listed.
I have been on the phone with GoDaddy tech support and know that the issue is not on their end (as suggested by the fact that my domain entirely disappeared from your DNS Manager).
This site previously worked wonderfully. I changed my a record to point to my GoDaddy IP and switched nameservers to those provided by GoDaddy as host. After over a week of flawless performance, now my domain has disappeared and I have no ability to do anything to correct this issue.
I am left with absolutely not options at this point. I registered this domain less than 60 days ago so cannot transfer my registration even though I very badly want to at this stage of the game. If this domain issue is not resolved I will be issuing a chargeback on my credit card for the registration fee I paid you. Of course, this will do absolutely nothing about the fact that my domain will be unavailable to me…

Hi,
Apologies for the delay. Responding to the private ticket knocked you back to the bottom of the list, so I apologize again for the delay.
Once you switch your nameservers over to another provider (NS01.DOMAINCONTROL.COM, etc), typically you will need to go to the provider of those nameservers to change the zone file (in this case GoDaddy).
To use the Custom DNS tool at https://notwhenbutif.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains&action=dnsedit&domain=notwhenbutif.com , you’ll need to have WordPress.com serve as your nameserver.
You can still access the domain controls using the drop-down menu options at the bottom of https://notwhenbutif.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
In short, can you confirm that NS01.DOMAINCONTROL.COM and NS02.DOMAINCONTROL.COM are the correct nameservers as instructed by GoDaddy?
I’m sorry for the headache and confusion.
