Domain registrar change without transfer?

    If I want to use a domain name here that I already have, if I cancel my domain name with the other registrar (Yahoo) BEFORE I register it here, then immediately register it here with wordpress.com, does that work? I read that you can’t accept a transfer, but I want to be able to use my other domain names through wordpress instead and pay wordpress for the domain, not yahoo. I’m trying to figure out how I can do it before my 1-year renewal kicks in on Yahoo on Dec. 21st. Thank you for any help!

    When a domain expires it can take up to 35 days before it will become available to register somewhere. To map an existing domain, You can go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.
