Hi there, to map a domain you’ve purchased from another registrar (Wix) to a WordPress.com website you’ll need to change the domain nameservers at Wix to:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

Additionally, you’ll need to upgrade your free WordPress.com website to at least the Personal plan and add the mapping subscription which is included in your upgrade. https://wordpress.com/pricing/

More details about domain mapping are explained in our support guide at
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

Post back to us here if you have more questions after reading those guides.

Hello again, WordPress.com is a web hosting provider. If you are looking to install and manage your own WordPress install on another hosting provider, like Dreamhost, Godaddy, etc., you’ll need to ask your web hosting provider for information about pointing your Wix domain to them.

In general, for help with a site using the open source WP software, head over to https://wordpress.org/support/ where you’ll find documentation and users who have more experience with the software you are using. If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on the top of that page.

WPcom (where we are ) and WP are separate entities with different documentation and support forums. More information about the differences can be found here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

    Best wishes
