Domain Registration

I recently got this notification that our domain name registration is about to expire. I was under the impression that I had registered through WordPress. Was I incorrect?

    Hi there,

This email is valid as it’s pertaining to the domain: concordmodelengineers.org which is registered through Dreamhost as seen here:

    https://who.wildwestdomains.com/whoisstd.aspx?domain=concordmodelengineers.org&prog_id=wildwestdomains

You have added a domain mapping upgrade for that domain, but it is still pointing to Dreamhost as you can see by the nameservers. If you want to point this domain to us, make sure to renew the registration with Dreamhost and update the nameservers to us:

    • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

View this support guide for more information:

    Map an Existing Domain

The domain you registered through us is: chuckhillscgblog.net and that is not set to expire until July 5th, 2015.

Let me know if you have any questions with this!

Can I get the domain registered with WordPress?

It is currently in the name of a friend who is willing to transfer it.

    Hi there,

I’m sorry, but while we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as I explained above.

Please let me know if you have any questions!
