Domain registration

    I’m considering moving over to wordpress.org (apologies if this in the wrong forum!), i recently registered my domain name through the wordpress.com dashboard. I read somewhere about having to waiting 60 days after doing this before moving the domain. So my question is, if i still want to keep my domain registation with wordpress can i move over to self hosted wordpress.org sooner than the 60 days (if i get hosting with godaddy.com for example)?
