  Hello,

  On May 11 I registered for my domain – anisainthecity.com, and it says that I can renew it on April 11, 2016 but I understood when I signed up that my registration is for one year, which means my domain registration should end on May 11, 2016 instead.

  Hi there!

  Domain names which are setup for auto renewal are renewed one month in advance of expiration. This insures, in case there are any troubles with the transaction, that it can be corrected before the domain is in danger of expiring. You still get an entire year of service.

  While your domain might be set to renew on April 11, 2016, it’s not set to expire until May 11, 2015.

  You can always turn off the auto renew function, if you’d prefer to manual renew.
