Domain registration

    Hello, I’d like to purchase a domain through my Go Daddy account to change the default wordpress domain. I don’t want to buy a plan on wordpress, so can I still change the domain? Also, if the default domain is changed to a new easy domain, will it affect any previous links I’ve shared online or will those be automatically directed to the new URL?

    In order to change your domain here at WordPress.com, you’ll need to use one of our paid plans. You can either map a domain registered elsewhere, or register one through us. Either option is included at no extra charge.
