Domain registration

We’ve received notification that the domain mapping has expired. However, the domain registration was renewed over a month ago. What is it that WordPress requires us to do in addition to that? Please tell us what information you need and who you need to receive it from.

Make sure your DNS settings at whatever domain registrar you are using are up to date. It is possible that perhaps they were changed if your domain was allowed to expire. Either way, make sure they are correct, see here.
I am assuming WordPress is showing this error because it is having issues connecting to the domain you have mapped. Also, make sure your mapped domain is set as your primary domain in WordPress.

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, renew or cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades.
If you are not logged in under the correct username account clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login under the correct username account.

Thanks for the replies and information. I’ll read and follow up. Guess we thought what mattered was renewing the domain ownership, which was done quite a while ago. Didn’t realize there was another step involved.
