Hi, How do I need to register domain if I have the website and domain of a company that I work for? I want to create me domain and link it to the company’s domain and website so I could move me domain in case I leave the company in the future. Also, It would be easier domain than the company’s one. What are the steps registering the domain in this case? I got to the page that says Privacy Protection and domain contact information. $8 is it extra to $18 per year or ?? Also, there is an option to add organization name if registering it for a company. Do I need to put the company’s name that I work for or I just need to put my info only so to have the right to leave the company and take my domain with me?

Our paid plans include a credit which covers the cost of one domain, including private registration. The domain and private registration will be listed as a separate amounts in your cart but they will be included in the total plan cost.

In what case is it highly recommended not to use free registration option?
I would recommend using the free domain credit to add your domain. This will give you the first domain free. Additional domains can be purchased and then redirected to your account.
What does it mean to add organization name? Where does that name will appear?
The organization name will be shown if you choose not to add Privacy Protection to the domain. If you do enable privacy protection the organization will not be shown to anyone outside of the account owner and staff.

Does free domain means there will be always some kind of advertisement at my space?.. I am trying to weigh all pros and cons. So, I am trying to find out what are cons of free domain. I have never had my domain, and I am planning to create my new domain. I have to link it though to the company’s (I work for) kunversion website.

If you upgrade to any of our plans there will be no advertisements unless you choose so and then you can monetize off of it. The free domain means that with a paid plan you can register a custom domain name free or charge (domain is included in the plan).

Since I am now with one real estate company, I have to always use their name and their website. I cannot say that I’m the owner of the business and I cannot use solely my name for advertisement. However, if I understand right, I can register my domain that I have to link to the company’s domain and website. In case if I in future leave the company, I can take with me my domain. Also, my domain is shorter/simpler and recognizes my name. Meaning, it will have my name in it. I’ve explained approximately what I am thinking. I am not sure in anything for sure. I am trying to understand how everything works and how everything can be in the future. I am learning and everything is soooo new for me since I was a preschool teacher before that. Also, I am a digital immigrant and not good with technology at this moment. It is my second month how I started to practice real estate. That is correct. Your thinking is sound on this. Having your own domain name and brand means that it will continue with you no matter where you are working.
It might be worthwhile touching base with your employer on this. What one employer would want might be different from what another one would want.

Thank you for the confirmation/explanation. Our branch manager is pushing toward Godaddy, but I do not want Godaddy’s domain registration. Thus, I am on my own now since I do not want to disturb him with my choice of registration…
