Domain registration
-
Hi there,
Yesterday I registered the domain calleyboucaud.com and I just requested to cancel it. It is now showing my domain is parked but I need to register it with another host. Can someone help me with this so this domain is available again to register elsewhere? Also; it told me to contact you for the refund of $34 Canadian.
Please advise ASAP.
Thanks.

Hi there,
Domain canceled after the 48 hour cancellation period will be parked until the end of the registered period. This is done once a domain is canceled and there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to use it again.
If you’d like to use the domain with another host I would recommend it should be restored to your WordPress.com account allowing you to use it elsewhere by pointing the name servers or transferring it away.
Also, refunds for domain names are issued within 48 hours after purchase. Please let us know how you decide to proceed. I have tagged this thread with modlookfor a staff to follow up with your request.

Howdy –
Thanks for getting in touch.
The domain will be available in 5 days to be registered again as new, with a different provider. The cancellation process takes a bit.
Now, the risk with this option would be that someone else registers it as new, before you get to it, and then you are out of luck and have lost the domain.
The other option would be that we restore it to your WordPress.com account, at no fee, because you’ve already paid us, and we haven’t refunded that money yet. Then you can point it to another service through DNS modifications and transfer it to another service once it is 60 days old. That’s an ICANN regulatory time frame.
Write back to let me know how you want to proceed and I’ll get things straightened around.
