Domain registration

  I purchased my domain with godaddy around the end of November 2018. Now, if I transfer my domain to WordPress via the ‘Transfer to WordPress.com’ option – one of the benefits listed is ‘Extends registration by one year’. Does it mean after my Godaddy.com subscription ends in November 2019, I will get another year of free domain under WordPress until November 2020?

  Hi there,

  That is correct, though the renewal will happen immediately once the transfer completes.

  In other words, once the domain is fully transferred to us, you’ll only have to renew it again in 2020.
