Domain Registration

  Hiya,

  I hope you’re keeping well. I registered the domain rubydhal.com through wordpress a few years ago and every year I’ve been renewing it. This year I renewed it in September 2019 and then I decided that I want a brand new website created through a website designer. I cancelled my renewal a few days ago, although the payment had already gone out.

  Now, I checked whether the domain ‘rubydhal.com’ is available and it says that the domain is already registered. Does this mean that the domain rubydhal.com will be with me for another year as I had already renewed it?

  If so, is there a way I can transfer this domain to my new website?

  Hi Ruby –

  Thanks so much for writing to us. I’ve reached out to our domain partner and asked that they restore rubydhal.com. Once that happens we can get it added back to your account. From there, you’ll be all set.

  There are 2 ways to use that domain elsewhere. Remember that you shouldn’t ever cancel it though.
