Domain Registration

  Hi, I just purchased a Domain Registration on 22/11/2013 (yesterday, Queensland Australia time) and the information in the Store section says that the upgrade will be renewed automatically in 11 months.
  I thought the upgrade was valid for 12 months. Can that be clarified please?

  When auto renew is setup, we renew domains 30 days before their expiration date. Why? Since letting a domain expire means you may not be able to get it back in the future, we want to ensure that everything is taken care of in advance. We do send out notification emails before charging your card, as we try not to surprise anyone. This is mentioned in the “my upgrades” support document and when you set up your auto-renewal. But it can also be easy to miss, so I understand the confusion.

  Thanks rootjosh, I did take note of the auto renew details. I was confused with the difference in the renewal info between my Domain and Custom Design products, but it’s all good.
