Domain registration failed

  Hi,
  I tried to registrate my domain http://www.yhtajuhlaa.fi in WordPress, with the upgraded version. WordPress site asked to wait, but I never got the activation email. Then I tried again to registrate this time with the free version, and now I got the activation email but the site name is wrong: http://www.yhtajuhlaa.wordpress.com. I cant change it to http://www.yhtajuhlaa.fi because WordPress is telling me this site name is already taken. Yes it’s taken, for me! But I can’t access it.

  What did I do wrong and how can I fix it? I have not paid anything yet.

  Hi there,

  It’s not possible to register .fi domains with WordPress.com. You will need to first register that domain with a Finnish domain registrar. Then you will be able to connect it here using domain mapping.

  Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping)

  You will need to add a plan under My Site ->Plans before you can add the domain mapping.

  Hi, thanks for your answer. I actually have registered domain already at Finnish domain registrar, but due being too short-tempered I managed to registered here in wordpress twice… and I think it is a problem now. Well, also due to my short-tempered mind, I gave up with wordpress and started with a new site..
