DOMAIN REGISTRATION PROBLEM
-
I registered a site.
Wordpress offered to sell me a domain: COUSINAVI.CA.
I bought the domain.
When I began to build the site, the URL was cousinavica.wordpress.com.
I don’t want COUSINAVICA dot anything.
I was offered, and assured that I was purchasing, COUSINAVI (dot) CA
WTF?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
ALSO: I DO NOT need help with the linked site.
The NEW site – the PROBLEM – doesn’t exist yet.
FFS, does nothing actually work around here?
Can I just get my money back and we’ll forget the whole GD thing? -
The custom domain appears to be parked here. Did you buy a WordPress.com Pro plan to make the domain the primary one that would then appear on top of https://cousinavi.wordpress.com/ or did you just buy the domain?

While you can purchase a domain without a plan, to have your domain be your primary domain you need a paid plan. Otherwise, your domain will redirect to your free *.wordpress.com URL.
It looks like you also just canceled that domain registration. If you want to recover it and use it here, you have a few options:
Wait: You can wait about five days from cancellation for the domain to be released. Then, so long as no one else buys it before you do, you can purchase it again with another provider.
Repurchase the Domain: We can send an invoice and restore the domain. You’ll be able to point it to a new host as soon as it’s restored, then transfer the registration after 60 days.
Repurchase a Plan: To host your site here, buy an annual plan, skip the domain option, and update us here.
Let us know which way you’d like to proceed. Thanks.
