domain registration question

A few months ago I mapped a domain to wordpress.com that I already owned. That domain registration is now expired. I would like to register it again but through wordpress.com this time. How do I do that?

actually the blog in question is nextstepproduce.wordpress.com which is mapped to nextstepproduce.com which is now expired.

Hi there,
If a domain is available to register, you can register it by heading to your My Sites page and clicking the “Domains” link there.
However, it looks like the domain nextstepproduce.com isn’t available to register. Here’s the publicly available information about the domain:
http://who.is/whois/nextstepproduce.com
You’ll need to wait until your old domain registrar fully cancels that domain and releases it before you can register it again. Alternately, you can renew the registration at that domain registrar and continue mapping it to your site here.

once the domain is released by the old registrar, how can I register the domain through wordpress.com? If I try to register a new domain via “My Domains” is says nextstepproduce.com is already mapped. Where/how will I be able to change from mapping to a new registration?

Sorry about that! I just removed that domain mapping from our end so you can register the domain once it’s available. I also added some credit to your account for that domain mapping, to use when you register the domain or if you decide to keep it registered elsewhere and map it here again.
