domain registration through word press

    I see that Word press charges quite a bit to register a domain for a year. They also have a $13 charge to use your previously purchased domain.

    Is there an advantage when you register with them? Why wouldn’t I just register with someone like GoDaddy for a lot cheaper, and forward the domain to my site: jmordars.wordpress.com ?
