Domain registration upgrade

I have two domain registration upgrades on my account, one of which is getting ready to expire in October. I have decided I no longer want to use the blog and have decided to delete it once the domain registration expires in October, but I want to make sure this is not going to affect the second domain registration upgrade, which isn’t due until November. Both sites are currently self-hosted, but the domain registration upgrades are still through wp.com, which is why I am asking this here instead of the wp.org forums. I purchased the upgrades several months before I decided to self host the blogs, which is why they are through wp.com.

The two upgrades for two different blogs are independent.

Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrades, you can disable auto-renew Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades > Disable auto-renew

Okay, thank you! Once the registration expires, will I be able to just delete the blog like a regular wp.com site?

Yes. However, if you want the domain mapping removed sooner then Staff can do that for you.

I already disabled auto renew and was just going to wait until October to delete it, but if I can have staff do it sooner that would be fine as well. Do I need to notify my hosting company first?

It looks like mymindonlife.com is set to expire in October. If that’s the domain you wish to cancel, I can do so. Note that once it is cancelled, it may not become available to register elsewhere, so if you think you might wish to use it again in the future, you can transfer the registration to a different registrar if you’d like.
However, if you still wish to cancel it, please confirm, and I’ll take care of that for you.

I really have no use for it any longer and have transferred all of the posts to another blog for safe keeping, so if you could cancel mymindonlife, that would be great. Do I need to notify my hosting company or do anything further to have the site completely deleted?

http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/To delete the associated self-hosted site on the other provider, you can remove the files from your account, but without an active domain pointing to it, no one will be able to access that site.
