Domain Registration / Upgrade

    I previously upgraded to the domain themodagecottage.com but I did not auto renew and it went back to a wordpress.com site. I would like to upgrade to this name again, and just upgraded (although I think I am going to cancel the bundle and just pay for the domain name) but am having troubles. Has this domain recently been scooped up by someone else? Can you please help clarify things for me so I can possibly get back to themodagecottage.com?

    Hi Kristen,

    Unfortunately, someone else purchased themodagecottage.com, so it isn’t available for you to register anymore. You can see all of the public information about the domain here:

    http://who.is/whois/themodagecottage.com

    Since that domain isn’t available, you may want to try a different one. You could switch to different domain ending, like themodagecottage.co or themodagecottage.net. Or you could take out “the” at the beginning, so it’s modagecottage.com.
