Domain registration/mapping

    The link to my site is not working i am being told to delete cookies which i have done, i paid for the domain name then paid for mapping and there is just a major issue trying to figure out what to do next. I cant get in there at all…

    When I go to your site I see a redirect loop. I have seen this before in the following circumstances.

    1) Someone has a wordpress.com blog (e.g myname.wordpress.com).
    2) They buy a domain eg myname.com and as a temporary measure redirect it to their blog myname.wordpress.com.
    3) They then decide to get proper domain mapping, purchase it for myname.wordpress.com, set the name servers to WordPress.com and activate the mapping.

    Having done this you will get the redirect loop for up to 72 hours while the DNS name propagates. They can then make things worse (permanent until fixed) by pointing the domain name servers back to the non-wordpress host).

    The solution is:
    if your nameservers are sill pointing at WordPress.com – just wait.

    If your nameservers are pointing at your ISP disable the redirect and set up a temporary “site coming soon” static page. Then change the nameservers to the WordPress nameservers and wait. After 72 hours everyone should see the blog, most will see it within a couple of hours.

    I did not see any active domain mapping for runningwith.org

    Did you receive an email receipt for the charges? Can you see the domain mapping in Dashboard >> Store >> My Upgrades?

    Earlier Domain Helper did not show any domain mapping – now it shows mapping but not WordPress.COM name servers

    Maybe things are in the propagation time line gray zone

    its still in the loop. My guess is that dawnns508 changed the name servers back to the ISP when in the “grey zone” thinking that things were not working.

    The only thing to do is change the name servers to WordPress then wait!
