  Hi –

  I’ve sent a note to our domain partner regarding thatmate.com. It’s not clear whether or not it is in redemption. Whois search tells me that it isn’t, but the timeframe for when it was cancelled could mean something otherwise.

  I’ll be in touch once I hear back. If the domain is in redemption there will be an $80 charge to recover it. Let me know if you agree to that charge.

  Hi,
  As per your guidelines we didn’t receive any emails prior to 7 or 3 0r 4 days of expiry, the last mail received was on 1st June. So ideally it shouldn’t go in redemption. We want to renew it, however may be when its available in the pool. Let us know if we can renew it with the minimum renewal charges

  Hi there,

  WhoIS says the expiration date is 2019

  Whois will always say that for a domain registered with us that has not gone through Redemption yet. But your domain expired on 1 July 2018, and was removed from our system 43 days later on 12 August. Once it gets removed from our system we no longer control it, and the redemption fee is what we need to pay to get it back.

  If you did not receive renewal reminders from both us and our domain provider, it’s possible your email filtered them into Spam or some other folder, bypassing the inbox, but we did send out multiple reminders before and immediately after the domain expired on 1 July.

  We are waiting on our domain provider to confirm the current status of the domain. Once they reply, we’ll let you know how to proceed from there.

  Hi there,

  Before the domain can be transferred to another Registrar such as GoDaddy it must be renewed here at WordPress.com. As you mentioned you no longer are in need of the Business Plan we have updated the payment link we previously sent.

  Once payment is made for the domain it will be restored to your account allowing you to transfer it to another registrar or continue to use it here at WordPress.com.
