  Can word press do that for me or should I go to a 3rd party like godaddy?

  It looks like your domain name expired a long time back and has reverted to the wild for anyone to register it – not renew – try registering / buying it again –

  sometimes there is a problem with a long expired domain name being registered again and you might need the staff to clear something in your blog for the purchase to work – if that is the case I have flagged this for the staff to help you

  Thanks @auxclass! There was indeed a lingering Domain Mapping that needed to be cleared, but I’ve taken care of that.
