Domain renewal

  Renew domain renewal date: May 23.
  And yet, if I renew today, next year it says it renews on 5/9.

  Shouldn’t it continue to renew on May 23 so that I don’t loose weeks by renewing early?

  You won’t loose any weeks – normal renewal is 30 days early so when the renewal fails you have time to fix any problems and not have a break in service or penalty – 12 months will just be added to your expiration date – you can manually renew up to 60 days before expiration date and the math will work just fine
