  i need to renew my domain and it won’t let me

  thanks – yes my domain ran out which I hadn’t realised and now instead of a renew and pay option it just has a contact support button

  Staff deal with threads tagged for their attention by addressing those with the earliest date stamps and timestamps first and working forward. Please be patient while waiting.

  ok great thanks – my amount to pay just goes up each day thats all. trying to judge the damage :-/ all good

  Actually the fee step up only happens once – the extra fee is set by the Registrar and WordPress.COM just passes it on to you.

  auxclasss is correct, the registrar charges us the $80 redemption fee after a domain has been expired for two weeks. There’s no increase in cost after that. The lengthy domain expiration process is explained here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/
