Domain renewal

    Hi:

    I currently have the following domains:

    shearmadness72.com
    sheermadness72.com
    nordhavn72.com
    kathyandbradley.com

    I originally set these up at GoDaddy but my blog is at WordPress. I want to understand how the renewals work and whether that is through GoDaddy or WordPress.

    The kathyandbradley domain will expire soon and I do NOT want to renew it.

    According to GoDaddy, the Nordhavn72 and Shearmadness72 domains are good through 2016; however WordPress shows them expiring sooner.

    The Sheermadness72 domain only shows up on WordPress and not on GoDaddy. I want to renew it through 2016 as well.

    Can you clarify how my renewals should work and whether or not I need to do anything with either WordPress or Godaddy?

    Hi Kathy,

    sheermadness72.com is registered through WordPress.com and isn’t set to expire until April. You can take a look at the date this upgrade expires via your Store -> Domains page from your WordPress.com Dashboard.

    Your other two domains were registered through GoDaddy, but you’ve purchased a Domain Mapping upgrade to map them to your WordPress.com sites. GoDaddy can tell you when the actual domain URL will expire, but you will need to renew your Domain Mapping upgrade through WordPress.com each year:
