domain renewal

  When I click on the “My Upgrades” section, there should be a “renew” button next to the expiring domain (umnpremed.com) as shown by the example on your website. However, there is not renew button. It simply says it would cost $18 to renew but does not give a choice to pay for the renewal, update card info, or and additional choices.

  You need to be logged in as the EXACT account / user that owns an upgrade to renew it. Is there another account that you might have used to purchase the upgrade?

  There are several other “administrators” for this domain. The name under which it was purchased is no longer one of the listed administrators. Is there a way to transfer “ownership” of the domain? In other words, is there a way I could receive the right to renew it?

  yes you can receive the ability to renew the domain registration upgrade – but the person that owns the upgrade needs to transfer it to you –

  there are two ways they can transfer the upgrade to you

  1) they can log into the account / blog and go to Dashboard >> Store >> My Upgrades >> then mouse over the upgrade and they click on the Transfer option and follow the directions

  2) they can log into this thread with the account that owns the upgrade and with SMALL clear words – explain that they want an upgrade transferred from account one – and transferred to your account and they need to post your account name

  the domain name registration is the tough one because of internet rules on domain name registration – it can take 60 days or more for a domain name to revert to the wild after the registration expires and the domain name will not work for much of that time and then the domain name might be grabbed and taken hostage by squatters – then cost a lot of money to get it back

  all the other upgrades can be finessed a bit with the help of the staff so a blog is only down for a few hours

  hello,

  I am replying to this thread as the past owner of this wordpress domain. I am no longer an administrator or officer for this student group and would like to end by ownership and transfer it to zhoux764. Please let zhoux764 be the owner so she can renew the domain and get the wordpress page up and running.

  Hi everyone,

  I have moved the domain upgrades to zhoux764’s account, so they should be able to renew them from here.

  The blog itself is owned by a different user, so I cannot transfer blog ownership to zhoux764 without hearing from that user. However, for purposes of administering the domain, that is not required.
