I’d like to renew my domain and don’t know how. I’ve received the emails and it said I have insufficient credits?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have same problem. Insufficient credits. I see no way to fix. Help. It still shows a need to renew.

Hi there. I just created a second domain (paths2wisdom.com), and I have a primary domain (whatbeautifullight.com). Both are the low-end products, meaning they take the push ads from WordPress. Can someone let me know why new domains, like the one I got today, was just for 11 months, not 12? Here’s what the domain information says about my new domain, for when it must be renewed:
//path2wisdom.com Active – renews on November 8, 2015//
I made the purchase today, 12/7/2014. So why 11 months? Thanks. -

Hi Rudy,
It’s for 12. The automatic renewal just goes through one month in advance, but you still get the entire year. It was purchased on 12/8/2014 and expires 12/8/2015 as seen in your Store > My Upgrades page.

Thanks Grace. And a question for someone now a bit confused about how WordPress manages domains and subdomains with it’s $18.00 offer that I just bought. When I made the purchase for the domain (path2wisdom.com), it linked it to my existing domain (whatbeautifullight.com), apparently without me having any choice. That wasn’t clear to me when I did the purchase. I want path2wisdom.com to stand alone and not redirect to whatbeautifullight.com. My other blog, for which I have a CName set up with (rudyfoto.com), and Iwonderandwander.rudyfoto.com does NOT do this (point to whatbeautifullight.com.
So goal: No directing path2wisdom to any other property I have on WordPress.
I read instructions for mapping my domain and mapping my subdomain and I do not see clear instructions–if that is possible with this product.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/If I can’t de-link these, can I cancel or can you recommend another solution? I want these all to have unique identities. Thanks.

Hello Grace, also, I know this can take up to 72 hours to be processed, but also when I click “my blogs” on my dashboard, the domain I just bought does NOT appear. My two other ones do, so I am a bit confused now by how this all happened and why. Thanks. (Other two blogs I are referenced above: whatbeautifullight.com and Iwonderandwander.rudyfoto.com._

Hi Rudy,
I’m a bit confused as to your request. You mentioned this:
So goal: No directing path2wisdom to any other property I have on WordPress.
Do you want path2wisdom.com to remain empty? Please note that a domain name is a name used to identify a particular website on the internet. Your site’s domain name is like your mailing address. Your domain exists independently of your site. So if you don’t point it to a certain WordPress.com site you domain will be empty.
You can find more information about domains here.
I can move the domain to another WordPress.com site. You can make one by logging into WordPress.com and going to My Sites at the top. There will be a link to make a new blog. Then I can point your new domain to that site, but it needs to be attached to a WordPress.com site. If you want to point that domain elsewhere (not on WordPress.com) all I need are the nameservers of your new host and you can point the domain there. Here is more information on that:
Let me know if you have any questions with this!

Grace: Thanks again. I’ll hopefully be more clear. I want a blog. I don’t want it empty.
By purchasing my path2wisdom.com, visitors to that URL (don’t know how that happened originally) now are directed/pointed to my existing domain, whatbeautifullight.com–so it points traffic there. GOAL: I do NOT want that. I want these as separate properties/blogs. I do NOT want path2wisdom point to my existing property/photo blog.
Was NOT aware I had to go here first: https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?site=, to create a .wordpress.com blog first. I must have purchased the path2wisdom domain while logged on to whatbeautifullight.com and this happened by default?
When I am here, https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?site=, I CANNOT create a blog with the name path2wisdom.wordpress.com as a free site, to point to a connection later. That property is locked up because I bought it as path2wisdom.com (I believe). So that was my logical next step and I’m now stumped.
I want this domain on WordPress. I just need help getting it registered so it points to a separate blog site (I want to use the Hemingway theme). Do you recommend I pick a bogus name and you will direct it? I couldn’t understand your methods listed above. Sorry for the confusion, but this didn’t happen to me before and I don’t think the directions were clear, or I’m just a lower level IQ kinda customer and I ask for your patience. Could be both. Thanks very much. Rudy

Do you recommend I pick a bogus name and you will direct it?
Yes, it doesn’t matter what the domain of the *wordpress.com site is (meaning the site name with .wordpress.com at the end of it). The only person who will see this is you. It will show up in your administration pages – like when you are in your Dashboard. But, your readers will only see your domain: path2wisdom.com as long as it’s renewed yearly.
Once you set up that site, tell me the URL, and I will transfer the domain: path2wisdom.com to that site so that you can start creating content for it.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Grace: Thanks for clarifying that. I created the blog: thepath2wisdom.wordpress.com. I went back to the admin page for path2wisdom.com. Wasn’t clear if I had to update this in the box for “Add New DNS Record” on the admin panel for path2wisdom.com Once you make this change (transfer the domain of path2wisdom to thepath2wisdom.wordpress.com) can you confirm that’s the place to execute this fix/transfer the domain? Obrigado.

My blog, http://thedunnthing.com has expired because it it says I have insufficient credits when I click on the ‘renew for free’ button.
I have been trying to renew the domain prior to its expiry with no luck. Thought it might have sorted itself out, but now blog has reverted to old content (thedunnthing.wordpress.com).
How can I get the renewal upgrade to go through?
