Hi, I hope somebody read this and can help me.
I bought the domain todounplaneta.com, and i tried to change the domain to blogofcultures.com. How do I do this?
In my profile I see that I have the domain blogofcultures.wordpress.com.
I want to change the name of my page (todounplaneta.com) for blogofcultures.com
Many, many thanks!!!! -

Hi there,
I’m so sorry about this! I was able to reproduce this on my end as well. I have contacted our team regarding this for review.
I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. If you don’t hear from me by tomorrow, please reply in this thread again!

Hi there,
You are not able to edit domain names after they are registered as the nature of domains depends entirely on the spelling. You will have to cancel the one you don’t want, and register the correct one (pending availability).
Cheers!

Hi Grace,
Thanks for the update. My blog was pointing to my hosted .org account and has now reverted back to my free .wordpress.com account (which I switch 2 years ago). I’m hoping that this will allow for the blog to be pointed back to the correct content?
Thanks,
Aaron -
Hi Aaron,
The domain was pointing to your WordPress.com site: thedunnthing.wordpress.com as seen here:
It looks like the domain is set to us:
http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/results-v2.jsp?domain=thedunnthing.com
If you want the domain pointed to a new host you will have to update the nameservers to your host.

Hi Grace,
Before this expired, everything was pointing to the correct host – if this is updated, will it automatically revert back to where it was pointing, or am I required now to manually update?
Thanks
Aaron -
Hi Aaron,
This is pretty strange! Usually an expiration wouldn’t revert nameservers, but nevertheless once it’s renewed I can do this for you as well.
I think it would be best to just do this manually instead of waiting for fix on this issue.
I will send you a manual payment request and get this domain renewed shortly after. Please check your email as I have sent you confirmation and a manual payment request.
Thank you!

Hi Grace,
Thanks for sending through the manual payment request – I’ve now completed this manual payment.
Thanks,
Aaron -
Hi Grace, I’ve also send through by email the details of the nameservers to be updated. Thanks for your help :)

I’m not seeing a domain name in your account. You only have free sites with .wordpress.com at the end of it.
You can change a site address ending in wordpress.com by following the steps here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/Please note that the final step in changing your site address allows you to keep or discard the old address. If you are changing your site address so that you can use the address for a new site, please be sure to keep the old address.
You may prefer to change the address for your site by registering a custom domain name. This takes “wordpress” out of the site address. You can register a custom domain name for your site here by going to Store > My Domains in your account.
You can read more about custom domain names here:

Hi Grace,
thank you for your answer.
You wrote: You will have to cancel the one you don’t want, and register the correct one (pending availability), thank you, but how do I cancel the one I don´t want? Should I buy a new domain?… :/ -
@alejandrakudo-
If you no longer want the domain: todounplaneta.com you can cancel it by confirming through me (or just leave it as is until the expiration). But please note that this is different from other upgrades and is stated during the purchase process.
Canceling a domain at this time means you completely give up ownership of the domain. There is no guarantee the domain will become available to re-register after cancellation.
You are welcome to keep your domain with us and update the nameservers to point to another hosting provider by following this guide:
After 60 days from the date of purchase or registrant contact information change, you may also transfer your domain to another registrar by following this guide:
If you would like to completely cancel your ownership of the domain name, please reply to confirm.
You can register the new one just like you did the first time around:
