Domain Renewal
-
Last year I upgraded my domain so that it did not include the “.wordpress.com”. I hadn’t been blogging lately, so I didn’t renew it when it was asking me to a few months ago. Now I would like to renew it so it is back to http://www.jaclynnchan.com, but when I try to purchase the domain in the store an error comes up that reads “Someone (maybe you?) already registered jaclynnchan.com, but the domain is not pointing to WordPress.com.”
Any idea of why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Upgrades for domain mapping are annually renewable and we do get plenty of warning. A warning is posted on our dashboards about 2 month prior to the renewal date. Another one appears 30 days prior to the renewal date. Google prefers domains that are not going to expire quickly, so I just renew when I get the 60 day notice.
Once a Domain registration expires it goes into Redemption and will cost more than normal to renew. You should contact support Staff at this link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ on Monday, October 17th. After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form. Be sure to include the URL for the .wordpress.com sub-domain root blog being mapped from as well as what the domain URL was.

When I type something in the search box the “Yes or No” option does not come up. Is that because the WordPress is still closed for the weekend and the contact support should be back up sometime later today?

I’m sorry but we Volunteers aren’t aware of when Staff will reactivate that link. I assume it will be soon but don’t know that for sure. Please be patient while waiting for that to happen.
