rolandtan70,
All domains expire, but they don’t have to! Did you aquire your domain through a registrar like Namecheap or GoDaddy? If so, just log into your account and renew the domain.
If you purchased your domain here on WordPress.com you can just log into your dashboard and you’ll be able to find messages there to renew your domain.
Hope this helps!

The problem is, it expires more than 2 months ago. I can find the location to renew. AND…I’ve since migrated to Shopify and need to keep the domain name.

Hi there,
Is this for the domain, sgmedonline.com?
That domain expired in August already and is now in redemption with our registrar. They charge a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption, so I’ll need you to agree to that before I can start the process to get the domain back.
-
This is a hefty ransom considering the membership fee that I paid earlier. I’ve no choice but to agree. Can you get this done immediately?
-
When I looked again now I saw you have two expired domains in your account:
sgmedonline.com and sgmed.co
I just want to confirm that it’s the .com domain you want to get back. The .co domain has already entered the final phase of expiration and it’s not possible to recover it any more. However, it will hopefully be released by the registrar again soon, at which point you can register it as a new domain.
I realise the fee is high, but that’s what we need to pay the domain provider to get the domain back from them. Your other option, if you want the .com domain, is to wait for it to also be released. However, as we don’t control the process I can’t give you an exact date when that would be, and you run the risk of losing it if someone else were to register it before you do.
Please let me know if you want to go ahead and recover the .com domain, and I’ll send a link you can use to pay for the renewal.

Hi, what I wanted back is the sgmed.co and not the sgmedonline.com. If it’s not possible to recover, when and where can I register it again?
-
The domain is now in the Pending Delete phase, which means the registrar has already instructed the registry that controls the domain to delete it. It looks like it entered this phase two days ago, so it should be available again in a week.
That is just an estimate, though. We have no control over the domain at this stage, but that is the usual timeline. I suggest as of Monday, check daily if the domain is available again so you can register it as soon as possible thereafter. When the domain is released you’ll be able to register it at any provider that offers .co domains, not just with us.

Hi…it’s been 2 weeks….all my customers built during past 12 Months were gone! And there’s no sign of availability of my original domain. Can someone help? Its a disaster!
-
That domain is still showing the Pending Delete status, which means the registrar hasn’t released it yet. As I said before, we don’t control this process, and we have no way of releasing the domain for you. Your only option is to wait and hope it’s released soon, or to buy a different domain and connect it to your site.
