I want to renew my domain but it has just expired.

If your domain is in the redemption period and it was registered through WordPress.com, there will be an additional $80 fee imposed by the registrar if the domain is able to be recovered. If you wish to proceed, post the name of your domain and add “modlook” to the tags of this forum thread. A staff member will be around to assist.

Hi there,
You only had a domain mapping upgrade with us, not a domain registration, so you should be able to just add a new mapping upgrade by going to My Site ->Domains ->Add and selecting the Map It option.
Let me know if you need any more help with this.

The domain mapping upgrade has expired but is still in the grace period, it expired just 2 days ago. I was hoping to renew the upgrade for the exist amount -

I think I can now see the problem. I just looked up your recent forum replies and saw there was someone else having a similar issue.
I received an email from our previous webmaster, who happens to be the user that set up the blog initially, to renew the domain mapping upgrade. But, since WordPress has changed its policy I cannot make payment. Unfortunately I have just recently removed him from the team at his request (he doesn’t want to receive any more emails). I need to make this payment ASAP. -

This is for portadelaiderowingclub.com, correct?
I see now that while you renewed the domain last year, it actually belongs to the user, portadelaiderowingclub. That user also owns the site itself, so they cannot be removed as a user.
That person will need to log in and transfer the site to you. That is the only way that he can be removed from the site, and that will also transfer the domain mapping to you so you can renew it.
Please ask him to go to this link and click the Transfer Blog option:

Tell him to enter your username, mpickett21, and confirm, and you will become the new owner.
