domain renewal

  Hi there,
  I would like to renew my domain if it is still available. I let it expire late last year. Right now I am unable to do it through the system. Could someone please assist me with this?

  If you allowed it to expire a year ago and no one purchased it you can simply upgrade again.

  You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew.   So I looked at the whois data and it shows this:

  Can you tell me why I can’t register this domain? Is it taken by this Wild West Domain company? To me it looks expired.

  Hi Rhea –

  If you’d like to move forward with recovering the domain from redemption let me know. This is the only way to secure ownership of it again. Once it is released back for resale we are not notified in any way. It’s possible that someone else could buy it first, leaving you empty handed.
