domain renewal

i’ve recieved an email reminding me to renew my domain, the email link takes me to the ‘my purchases’ page on my account, but there are no domain renewal options, only a link account upgrade information.
i don’t want to upgrade my account, just renew the domain. has anyone else experienced this glitch or have a suggestion?

That changed last year when individual upgrades were discontinued. We now have to select a plan and purchase an upgrade bundle if we have allowed a domain to expire https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/

Every domain mapping is an upgrade that requires us to select a plan. It is NOT possible to use a custom domain URL without selecting a plan and paying for an upgrade.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, renew or cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades.
If you are not logged in under the correct username account clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login under the correct username account.

2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the upgrade for it?
4. When was the upgrade purchased?

You do not own any domains on WordPress.com.
The domain on your site belongs to the username, jonathanmray. You need to be logged in as that username to renew the domain.
