Domain renewal

  I received a notice to renew my domain (which I thought was through Blue Host) but can’t find where to do so. I looked at your article about how to renew but when I go in to manage purchases I don’t have any purchases. Do I need to do this through wordpress.org instead? Or Blue Host? Thanks in advance.

  Since you say that your domain is registered with BlueHost, you will have to renew your domain there.

  The manage purchases section available on WordPress.com is to manage your WordPress.com plan subscription. WordPress.com plans are: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Okay, so apparently my domain isn’t registered with Blue Host and I need to renew it through WordPress. The domain I need to renew is helenscottauthor.com. When I go into the manage purchases it says that I don’t have any purchases and that I don’t have any billing history, which doesn’t make sense.

  Okay, so apparently my domain isn’t registered with Blue Host and I need to renew it through WordPress.

  That’s correct. Although helenscottauthor.com is pointing to a site hosted by Bluehost, the domain itself was registered through WordPress.com.

  helenscottauthor.com was purchased using a different account, which is why are unable to renew while logged in as hscott751.

  If you log in using the email address the renewal reminder was sent to, are you able to see the domain on the Manage Purchases page of that account?

  As @fstat mentioned in this thread, we currently doing some maintenance which means you may not be able to renew your domain during the next couple of hours.
