Our Domain has just been registered again with HostGator which we used to host before moving site to WordPress. But, it appears that the URL is renewed automatically as part of my WP plan. Am I correct? Seems like I should cancel renewal with HostGator and not duplicate renewal fee?

Please don’t post into threads created by other users. If you need help with the upgrades in your account you can open your own support ticket at https://wordpress.com/help/contact.
You have that domain connected to WordPress.com via a domain mappping upgrade that is part of a Personal Plan you bought for your WordPress.com site. If you want to use that domain with a WordPress.com site, you need to continue renewing those upgrades, while also renewing the domain itself at Hostgator.
If you’re not going to use that domain with WordPress.com, you can cancel the Personal Plan from the Purchases page:
