Domain renewal

  Hello,
  I am paid up for the next couple of years. Do I lose that when I transfer or do I keep that and gain the extra year?

  Hi there!

  When you transfer your domain it will maintain the expiration date. If you prefer, however, you can map the domain instead of transferring it to WordPress.com. This way it will still be registered with your current registrar but it will point to your WordPress.com site. Mapping is free with any of our paid plans:
