Domain Renewal Fee

    Hey! I haven’t been on my blog, truthandrhetoric.com, in a while and have come to find out that the domain expired. Is there anyway to avoid the $80 late fee for a total renewal fee of $96?

    No, I’m afraid there is not. The renewal fee is charged by teh company from which WP buys the domains, so they have no say in that. You could wait and see if it becomes available freely, but to me it’s not worth taking the chance.

    If you wait until it becomes freely available there is a risk that someone else will register and use it before you can. It may also be purchased by a “domain squatter” who will charge much more to release it to you.
