Domain renewal issue with DNS
-
I just renewed my blog domain on May 27th after letting it expire. The status of my subscription is “Status: Expiring
This upgrade will expire in 3 months on August 22, 2013
DNS needs to be updated “.Aug. 22nd is the anniversary of the date I originally purchased the domain, but in 2011, and not a year from my renewal date May 27th 2013.
When I edit my DNS to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and NS2.WORDPRESS.COM the message I receive states:
We can’t save these records because they don’t look right to us. Check the errors below. Please contact support if you are unable to resolve the problem.
1. This does not match any of the DNS record formats.
2. This does not match any of the DNS record formats.I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. Please help.
Thanks,

Since the domain is expired you could register it at WordPress.com instead.
You can go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.
Please take a look at the following guide before going through the process.

I’ve already renewed it and paid for it through WordPress.com, so I’m confused about the error messages I’m receiving and updating the name servers.
Thanks!

Currently you only have a Domain Mapping upgrade on your account. I’ve canceled this domain mapping upgrade for you and added the $13 to your (WordPress.com) account.
Now you can purchase the domain name at Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there. Since you already have the $13 stored in your account, you only need to pay an additional $5 to register the domain.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!
