Domain renewal/transfer for self hosted site

  Hi,

  I moved my blog to BlueHost this year, but my domain is still registered with WordPress.com. The domain was offered free when I paid for the WordPress Premium theme back when my blog was hosted at WP.com. Well, actually it seems to be registered with Wild West Domains Inc. which I’m guessing is where WordPress.com buys domains from.

  My domain is set up for auto renewal shortly and I have the following 2 questions:

  1. Is it possible to keep my domain name registered with WordPress.com and renew it, even though I will not be renewing my WordPress.com Premium theme because I have moved to WP.org & BlueHost? At the moment, of course, the name servers point to BlueHost.

  2. If I wanted to transfer my domain name to Bluehost and have them renew it, how can I do this? At the moment, my domain seems to be locked.

  I’d really appreciate if WP Support could please help me out with this.

  Please help me to remove my Premium Plan. I did disable auto renewal, I’m not sure if that’s all I need to do.
