  Hello,

  We just renewed our domain but still cant access the site. Please see error message below. Is there anything I need to do? Thanks so much.

  Hi there!

  I believe you mean that you renewed the domain registration. The domain is not registered with us, so you have a separate set of subscriptions for your WordPress.com site. Those subscriptions have expired; that’s why the domain doesn’t work.

  I see that you previously had the WordPress.com Pro plan, and your site used to have custom themes or plugins. We no longer offer the WordPress.com Pro plan, but you can choose the WordPress.com Business plan instead, which also supports custom themes and plugins.

  After upgrading to the Business plan, you’ll want to do the following:

  1. Add a domain connection for your domain.
  2. Set your domain as the primary address.
  3. Restore your site to an earlier point (before the plan had expired)

  The yearly WordPress.com Business plan includes live chat support, so you can chat with us after upgrading. We’ll be happy to help you with the steps above.
