  Hi guys,

  I had a domain and missed emails regarding the auto renewal of the domain in July – my wordpress emails were routed to an old email address that I had forgotten to change over.

  Anyway, for some reason, the domain is not appearing in my purchases in my settings so I am having trouble with renewing it. Please let me know what I need to do to get this all working okay. The domain was assigned to work with a wix hosted site via DNS.

  Hi Joe,

  josephdelahoyde.com expired on 10th July 2018 and is currently in the redemption period, which is why there is no longer an option to renew it through your account.

  We can still try to recover josephdelahoyde.com but an $80 redemption fee will be added to the $26 domain cost. I’ve sent a payment request to the email address on your Account Settings page and will start the recovery process by contacting our domain registrar once it has been paid.

  If you don’t want to pay the fee you can wait until the domain is released. Although please be aware this process can take 80 days or more and there is no guarantee you will be the first to register josephdelahoyde.com again, so this is the riskier option out of the two.

  Hello!

  I’m afraid our registrar informed us that they are unable to recover josephdelahoyde.com as it has passed the date in which it can be recovered. In order to regain this domain, you will need to wait until it has completed the cancellation process and register it again as a new domain.

  It can take 80-90 days for the entire process to complete. September 28 will be day 80, so I recommend watching for the domain’s availability around this time.

  I have refunded the redemption fee of $80. Refunds can take 7-15 business days to show back up in your account.

  I have retained the $18 registration fee and added it as a credit to your account. This will allow you to register the domain once it becomes available.
