Domain replacement

    I have a custom domain name for my blog, but I would like to use that domain name for a more professional portfolio. I have purchased an alternate domain name that I would like to replace it with. Am I able to add this 2nd domain name before I take my existing domain name and use it on an alternate site?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

    Yes, you can have multiple custom domains on one blog at a time. If you would like to create a portfolio on a different WordPress.com site, please let me know when you’re ready and I can transfer the domain to the other site for you.

    If you’re creating a portfolio off of WordPress.com, I’d wait to remove the mapping from your WordPress.com account until a few days after the change has been made since domain changes can take a little time until they’ve updated across the Internet.
