Domain reported as spam and abuse

  Yesterday I purchased a domain joonomics.com, I cancelled it as I was confused between wp.org and .com. Then, I moved to Bluehost to install wp.org. It now appears in my domain list but it doesn’t redirect anywhere and when trying to edit the DNS it says:

  “Currently the nameservers for this domain are:
  NS1.SUSPENDED-FOR.SPAM-AND-ABUSE.COM
  NS2.SUSPENDED-FOR.SPAM-AND-ABUSE.COM”

  I know it’s messy and silly to purchase, cancel and re purchase the same domain in one day… :_(

  Is there anything I can do to get that domain back and fully working?

  Hi there,

  When you cancel a domain that you just purchased, it can take several weeks for our domain registrar to release it (and there’s no guarantee it will become available for you to register it again). The name servers you see for the domain are just the temporary name servers while the cancellation is being processed. We have more about what happens when a domain is cancelled here: Cancel Domain

  If you’d like, we can try to recover the domain from our domain registrar. That way you’ll have it registered here, and you can point it at your new Bluehost site. If you’d like to do that, I’ll just need you to pay for the domain registration again so we can try to get the domain back for you. I’m emailing you a link you can use to submit the payment for that domain.

  Thanks for letting me know! I contacted our domain registrar to try to recover the domain, and I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from them.

  Hi there,

  Our domain registrar let me know that they already released the domain name joonomics.com, so you can either register it again normally here at WordPress.com (and then point it to your new Bluehost site) or you can register it directly with Bluehost now.

  I’ve added credit to your account so you can register the domain here at WordPress.com. If you decide to register the domain at Bluehost, instead, just let me know and I’ll issue a refund for the payment you made.
