  The domain I want says “reserved” yet no one has it according to the web.
  It’s LJPA.Wordpress.com

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  When a WordPress.com user signs up for an account we reserve the WordPress.com web address with their username so no one else can use it. So if they signed up for the username ‘ljpa’ we would reserve ljpa.wordpress.com for them.

  Feel free to register a different name. With any blog, you can also use a custom domain with the Domain Mapping upgrade: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

  Another post I read posted by staff members referred to use this option to contact staff whom would “un-reserve” it if it was not in use.

  While I understand that, it’s been a while and the dn has not been used.. I’d really love to be able to, if possible.

  Karim, was likely a reply from Mark a couple – three years ago before the policy changed.
