Domain Restoration

  Hi there,

  Could I restore my domain name ‘www.artrevell.com’ however I would like to register it back through Bluehost – would that be possible?

  Hi Max,

  It’s not possible to restore a domain to a different domain provider, no.

  You can only restore a cancelled domain at the same domain provider where you had it registered. After you restore it, you can then request a transfer to a different domain provider, but that can only be done once you have owned a domain for at least 60 days, which is not the case here – you only registered that domain with us two days ago.

  In this case the simpler option would be to just wait – as you cancelled the domain within the refund period, it should be released by the end of this week, at which point you can register it again as a new domain directly with Bluehost.

  If you do want us to restore it on our end instead, I’ll need you to first buy a new paid plan for your site, as a plan is required to have a domain on WordPress.com, and you have already been refunded for your purchase on Sunday.

  I shall wait till the end of the week as that sounds the most reasonable!
