domain return and reactivation

  Hello,

  I currently have the free service level, and I’m hoping to get a custom domain. I just bought one the domain name, but realized I wouldn’t be able to use it without the paid plan – so I returned the domain, with the intention of buying the plan, that includes the free use of the domain. When I search it, it gives me the ‘already mapped to a WordPress.com site.’ – any idea how long it will take to be put back into the system so I can re-purchase it?

  Hi @jbissaro, typically the domain will be released within about 5 days, but we’d be happy to help you get it sooner.

  Do you want to go ahead and buy the plan you had in mind, but skip the custom domain option? Then update us here and we can add it back to your site from our end.
